The Atlanta Thrashers have assigned forward Grant Stevenson, defenseman Arturs Kulda and goaltender Ondrej Pavelec to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell. The Thrashers also released defenseman Jamie Rivers.
The Thrashers now have 26 players on their training camp roster (please see attachment), including 16 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
The Thrashers, who have a 1-4 record in five preseason games, close the 2008 exhibition schedule tonight, Saturday Oct. 4, against the St. Louis Blues at Philips Arena (7 p.m.). The 2008-09 NHL Regular-Season schedule begins when the Thrashers host the Washington Capitals at Philips Arena on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
