Camp Opens on Sept. 12; Practices and Media Availability Begin Sept. 13
The Atlanta Thrashers will open their 2009 Training Camp on Saturday, Sept. 12 with physicals and medical testing, and will begin on-ice sessions starting Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m. at the team’s practice facility in Duluth, Ga (Please see the attachment for a complete schedule).
Camp will open with players split into three practice groups before being reduced to two groups on Sept. 16 and one group on Sept. 22. A complete roster and breakout of teams will be provided following the conclusion of the Prospect Evaluation Tournament held in Traverse City, Michigan from Sept 6-10.
Beginning Sept. 13, media availability with players will be held following their on and off-ice workouts. There will be no access in the morning before practices. Head Coach John Anderson will be made available daily surrounding the player access period. Requests for Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell will be accommodated pending his availability. All schedules are subject to change.
