The geneRACEtion 5K Run/Walk was created to raise awareness and funds for two-nonprofits, Rainbows, which serves children grieving from death or divorce, and the Senior Citizen Services of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc., which serves seniors with the Meals on Wheels and other programs. These non-profits provide services for metro Atlantans across the age spectrum, thus the event name, geneRACEtion.
The run/walk will take place Saturday, May 16, 2009. The run will begin at 8:00am and the walk will begin at 8:15am at Grant Park near the Zoo Atlanta entrance.
Entry Fees for the 5K: $25 pre-registration by May 13, 2009; $30 for late and race day registration.
To register online please visit www.active.com (keyword: geneRACEtion).
Awards will be given to overall female/male; overall masters female/male. Top female/male in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 & over.
