Clayton State Summer Athletic Camps Running Through the End of July

The Clayton State University summer athletics camps will run through Friday, July 31.

This year’s individual sport full-day and half-day camps include; boys and girls basketball, soccer, speed development, and tennis. The soccer, tennis and speed camps are co-ed and separate camps are held in basketball for both boys and girls. Co-ed combination sport camps are also held in; soccer/speed, soccer/basketball, tennis/soccer, tennis/speed, and tennis/basketball. There are also two overnight soccer team camps, one for boys (July 30 to Aug. 2) and one for girls (July 19 to July 23).

Clayton State is a NCAA Division II school that competes in the Peach Belt Conference. All camps are on the Clayton State campus.

Daily activities are led by Clayton State Laker head and assistant coaches and focus on character building aspects of each individual sport, including self-esteem, discipline and responsibility. The Clayton State athletic camps combine small group instruction as well as game play to ensure development of fundamental skills and game knowledge. Full day instruction runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., however, supervision is provided upon request from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
